Originally from England, Ilana Cowland and her husband Rabbi Jamie Cowland were part of the aish uk team for 9 years before moving to Jerusalem
“I’ve been involved in women’s education for longer than I care to admit and when Tali heard that my family used to own a chocolate factory, she knew that we had a very special bond and needed to build a program together

“For the last five years I have been working at Jewel which gives amazing women from all over the world a great but swift bird eye’s view into Judaism.  So many alumnae ask me when there’s going to be a four month program so they can continue the building of perspective into self and exploring of Judaism that they began.  Thanks to Tali’s initiative, I’m super excited to answer that question… It’s finally here and it’s called Jewessence.  We’re all going to have a fabulous time getting to know ourselves, each other and our heritage better than we do right now and we can’t wait for y’all to get here!”
